Have you dropped your iPhone 3G and watched in horror as the glass screen shattered? Take a deep breath, it’s fixable. If your glass display is cracked / broken but your iPhone 3G still functions properly and the LCD is undamaged all you need is a new glass display and digitizer. The iPhone 3G has a touch sensor attached to the screen that detects your finger movements and allows you to navigate the iPhone's menus.

The digitizer is glued to the glass cover on the iPhone and is not removable so will need to be replaced. The glass screens are available on their own, but are generally useless as you cannot re-use the digitizer from your existing screen.

This repair is fairly advanced and should only be done by those who are confident in their technical abilities. We are unable to offer any technical support for this item and fitting it yourself will invalidate your warranty with Apple.
